Welcome to Mission Valley Church Men's Ministry Group
Our Mission, Our Purpose & Intention
This is an "All Call" for Christian Men seeking fellowship and getting to know God and make him known!
As we step into this new Season at Mission Valley Church, our mission verse is to equip, 2 Timothy 2:2 - men; a charge for every man, young or old, married or single!
"And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will also be able to teach others also."
- 2 Timothy 2:2 (ESV)
So the Question is Simple: How do I become a faithful man who can teach others?
Great Question. God has shaped each of us uniquely! We're going to turn how God has shaped you and use it in powerful practical ways, so we can share God's Word comfortably and organically.
Not every man is called to Preach. But every Christian man is called to follow Christ, share his faith, make disciple, and lead with Godly influence; right where God has placed him and in the season of life he is in!
Our Main Passage, guiding us toward the faithful man Paul describes, is 2 Timothy 2:14-26. Here we'll build the tools for our Discipleship program, and
we'll create clear opportunities to serve, like Matthew 25:14-30.
This ministry is unique. You'll see a wide mix of men who are both mature in the faith and men who are just getting started. And we'll move together through six functions:
REACH ---> EQUIP ----> FELLOWSHIP ----> SERVE ----> DEPLOY ----> MULTIPLY
REACH -- We intentionally invite men into a place where they are challenged, equipped, supported, and transparent.
EQUIP --- Men, take ownership of your faith! Christ laid down his life for us while we were still sinners. This was so we can be welcomed into Heaven, yes, but also equally as important to lead others in what he taught. Be Willing, dare I say Zealous!!! To learn to speak your faith clearly. You'll practice what you learn in both our Men's Ministry and our MY12 Discipleship Program.
BROTHERHOOD --- Christ never intended for us to walk alone. He's given us brothers to help carry one another's burdens. In 2 Timothy 2:22, we're shown why this matters:
"Pursue Righteousness, faith, love, peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."
We protect our brother's integrity, keep them accountable, and encourage them through the daily battles this fallen world brings.
SERVE --- Jesus washed his disciples feet the night he knew one of them would betray him. We won't be asking you to wash feet; however we will follow his example of humility and service. Pick up your cross and follow Him men!! We'll provide real, practical opportunities to serve the Church and reach our into our community.
DEPLOY --- This is the thrust of the book of Acts; its also the focus of Phase 2 of our MY12 Discipleship program. In our Men's Ministry, we'll create opportunities for the rubber to meet the ground for both:
MULTIPLY --- Multiplication is at the heart of Mission Valley Church and the Great Commission Jesus gave his followers. Our Men's Ministry Mission verse if 2 Timothy 2:2 : entrust what you've received to faithful men who can teach others also.
Our Goal is Simple: bring men closer to Christ through the teaching of God's Word; with faithful men teaching faithful men. This is Multiplication at its foundation!!
Men, This Is Your Call, Come Join Us!
If you're new to the faith, we'll help you take the next step. If you've been walking with Christ for years, we'll help you grow, lead, and pass it on effectively. We're not just here to hear the Word only; we're here to be Faithful Men who teach others also!!
So here's the Commitment: Show up, Plug In, Take Ownership.
Bring your brothers with you. Bring your questions, Bring your hunger to learn.
Join us as we:
REACH ----> EQUIP ----> FELLOWSHIP ----> SERVE ----> DEPLOY ----> MULTIPLY
Don't stay on the sidelines!
Come be built up and used by the Lord for Kingdom Fruit.
